R. Howard Walton

success buttonwaltonHoward Walton is a partner with Lindell & Farson, P.A. Mr. Walton graduated from Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, California, in 1994 with a B.A. in History, and graduated from the University of Florida College of Law, with Honors, in the spring of 2000.

After passing the Florida Bar Exam, Mr. Walton began his legal career on active duty service with the United States Navy's Judge Advocate General's Corps, being stationed at Headquarters, Naval Legal Service Office Southeast, Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida. While on active duty, Mr. Walton served as a defense counsel and legal assistance attorney, defending service members in courts-martial and administrative separation proceedings, and advising them (as well as military retirees and dependents) on a wide variety of  civil legal issues. Mr. Walton continues to serve in the "active" Navy Reserve, and presently holds the rank of Lieutenant Commander (O-4).

After completing his active duty obligation to the Navy, Mr. Walton was employed as an associate with another Jacksonville law firm, where his practice was devoted almost exclusively to defending doctors in medical malpractice cases. Mr. Walton joined Lindell & Farson in October of 2005, and his practice with the firm includes construction and real estate related litigation, insurance disputes, commercial landlord-tenant matters, general business litigation, and representing consumers in cases under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act.

Mr. Walton's hobbies include shotgun shooting, karate, and an ongoing and futile effort to learn to play golf.
